It's so important to go to church, believer! Every twice-born Christian needs some spiritual friends to relate to, and fellowship with those of Christ's body. We need fellowship with the Lord most.
“You are.. members of the household of God.” Ephesians 2:19
There's no such thing as a secret agent saint going it alone in the Bible. Hey, even the Lone Ranger had Tonto.
"For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear." 2 Timothy 4:3
Fellowship with no messin' around. It's
If being hurt by a so-called church that is obviously spiritually sick causes you to lose faith in God, in His living Word, and to bail from every Christian church, then your faith was placed in people rather than in God.
Some bodies are sick from the head down.. but never from the Head who is Christ.
"And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near." Hebrews 10:25 nlt
The very essence of life in a local Christian church is relational both upwards and outwards. Yes, it's relational not in a superficial way, but in a very intense, deep, and profound non-religious sort of way.
Who is the model for this? It is of course the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in that eternal relationship of love. And we, being made in God's image are made for relationship. And the purest and best and highest and noblest of those relationship categories exists in the life of those who belong to God who share His life.
"Tell him, ‘This is what the LORD, the God of your ancestor David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you.." Words to Hezekiah. #U2canAsk 2 Kings 20:5

The local church is a place of fellowship. It's to be maintained as a safe place to worship the Lord. This fellowship expresses itself not in any virtual way, but in the real life of joyful communion of the saints (born-again believers). So the basis of our fellowship is our biblical salvation, and the nature of our fellowship is shared life in Christ, and the symbol of our fellowship is the Lord’s Table.
I want to look to the Lord to meet all my needs daily, (He's my very best Friend), but I sure appreciate the blessing of getting together with my brothers and sisters in God's family!
"This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him." Psalm 91:2
