Heartbreaking craziness and loss in L.A. today. So many people are longing for peace inside and out, with order and recovery.
Wish I had words!!
Makes me muse a bit..on the ultimate Solution, a Person: God is a God of order and recovery who does all things well out of love for us. Choose a future with this Prince of peace leading.. instead of a lot more of this. “God is not a God of disorder but of peace” (1 Corinthians 14:33). With God, disorder and chaos give way to order and peace.
We see both order and chaos (cuz of pride, sin and rebellion) in the first book of the Bible, Genesis. Hey, order wins over chaos, and those who pursued and promoted the chaos and craziness of sin will no longer be allowed to disseminate disarray: “But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death” (Revelation 21:8). All the haters of people, and the destructive fire starters will be addressed.
We ought to model the order of God daily, and deny chaos. “Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it” (Psalm 34:14). Believer, “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace” (Colossians 3:15). Called to Him who is our peace. We look to the Prince of Peace in prayer who gives us His otherworldly sort of peace (John 14:27), and we guard our minds from being “corrupted (away) from the simplicity that is in Christ” (2 Corinthians 11:3).
