5 THINGS Godly MEN MUST CONQUER BEFORE THEY CAN LEAD FOR GOD'S GLORY

Five. Good to start with, men.

1. PRIDE

A proud man cannot truly serve people. You can't be a good leader until you're a humble godly follower. Of Christ.

2. LAZINESS

Leadership requires discipline, effort, and endurance.

3. FEAR

Fearful men avoid personal responsibility and shrink back from difficult decisions.

4. ANGER AT PEOPLE

Uncontrolled emotions destroy influence and credibility.. If you allow them to. Feelings are merely visitors. Let them come and go. They're fickle.

5. SELFISHNESS

Real leaders think beyond themselves, They see the big picture with a Christian / biblical worldview and live for a greater purpose.

The man who prays, praises Jesus, obeys Him, and masters his inner fleshly nature /aka self can enjoy Christ's empowering for being and witnessing in the world. Do you want to be a biblical disciple, then live disciplined By the power of the word.

Proverbs 16:32: "Better to be patient than a warrior, and better to have self-control than to conquer a city."

Depending on the context you are looking for, the Bible uses the phrase "conquer a city" or "take a city" in several distinct ways:

Godly Character Does Matter For Biblical Spiritual Warfare

Proverbs 16:32: "Better to be patient than a warrior, and better to have self-control than to conquer a city."

Mastering your own emotions and temper is a much greater achievement than the highest level of ancient military success.

Proverbs 21:22: "The wise conquer the city of the strong and level the fortress in which they trust." This verse teaches that wisdom and strategy are ultimately more powerful than a human's brute strength or heavy physical weapon defenses.

Proverbs 25:28: "Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control."

Here's a thoroughly reworded and expanded version that stays faithful to Scripture while speaking pastorally and naturally:
