You know that out there in the grand tapestry of this creation, God's Revelation unfolds like a beautiful masterpiece.. yet it speaks without a mouth or vocal cords.
The heavens, with their celestial symphony, and the earth, with its vibrant hues, clearly (non-verbally) proclaim God's glory. Man is without excuse according to Romans 1.
Day and night, the universe with the Sun and stars are out there speaking a language understood inside by all people, a testament to the Creator's deity, wisdom and power.
Yet, this general revelation, though awe-inspiring, is but a prelude to the ultimate revelation: the written Word of God. In the sacred pages of Scripture, God speaks directly to humanity, offering a personalized guide to life and salvation.
Yet, this general revelation, though awe-inspiring, is but a prelude to the ultimate revelation: the written Word of God. In the sacred pages of Scripture, God speaks directly to humanity, offering a personalized guide to life and salvation.
"There is no speech nor language Where their voice is not heard. 4 Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun, 5 Which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, And rejoices like a strong man to run its race. 6 Its rising is from one end of heaven, And its circuit to the other end.." Ps 19:3-6 nkjv
All, yes, ALL of the universes tells us of the glory of God and deity, and yet God here picks the macro creation of the heavens to clearly speak of His glory of God now, especially of the sun.
The sun is like a bridegroom making it circuit through the Milky Way making its orbit. Amazing statements, particularly about the sun. The speed of light is so fast -- 186,000 miles per second.
Earlier was day and night spoken of in the Bible, but now we have the sun that is running it's circuit, it's course. The sun is always moving and at a half a million miles per hour through the Milky Way. From the viewpoint of the ancients back in the day, they thought the sun was sitting still up there and we were rotating around it. Not true! God knew. The ancients wouldn't have understanding about all this up there. The sun runs its course through the heavens and nothing is unaffected by its warmth.
Always moving, the sun is at half a million miles per hour on it's unique course through an orbit in the Milky Way. At what speed Kurt? Half of a million miles an hour!
It would take 230 million years to complete its orbit around the Milky Way at the speed it's currently in. And guess what.. it's dragging our whole solar system with it at that same speed.
Such precise order out there.. by a smart Designer! This makes the atheist a fool.. this speaking without using words from Creation, non-written, non-verbal and yet this is enough to condemn a person to hell when rejecting God.
The Bible says... the fool has said in his heart: There is no God.
Man, that's not even rational to reject God.
It's general in the sense God's revelation is available to us all and it's more than rational. According to Romans 1 men are totally without excuse when they suppress the truth of God.
That universal revelation of God is so very clear. Yes, and please take heed to His Gospel too.
Simply take heed to the Creation speaking to us. It alone is enough to damn people who Jesus died and rose for.. it's enough to condemn the lost of this world into a real place that was designed for fallen angels (not for man) called hell or the Lake of fire.
Creation points us to the Divine Creator who yes, has deity. We are without any excuse!
Psalm 19 is a micro of Psalm 119 with its 176 verses that expand upon all of this.
In verse 7 we shift from Specific or Special Revelation to General Revelation.
(Psalm 19:7 nkjv) "The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;
8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

10 More to be desired are they than gold,
Yea, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned,
And in keeping them there is great reward.
12 Who can understand his errors?
Cleanse me from secret faults.
13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins;
Let them not have dominion over me.
Then I shall be blameless,
And I shall be innocent of great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer."

In three verses (7,8,9) six times we see Of God of God of God of God Of God of God. (There are so many facets of the perfect Law of the Lord). Because the Scriptures come from Yahweh, the covenant-keeping name of God is used here. The Word is of God!
Psalm 19, a lovely poetic masterpiece, encapsulates God's General revelation. It begins by celebrating the heavens as a silent sermon, that is preaching the gospel of God's glory to all people. But it then shifts its focus to the far greater revelation found in the written Word.
Man, I love the Scriptures and their Author more. The psalmist David extols the Word as a perfect, as trustworthy, as right, as radiant, and as a pure guide.

The Law of the Lord works. It revives the soul, imparts wisdom, brings joy, and enlightens the eyes. The living word can save and sanctify you.
It is a treasure more precious than gold, sweeter than honey. It warns, instructs, and rewards.
"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you[a] shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." Joshua 1:8 nkjv
God's written Word is a living, breathing document, sharper than any sword, piercing to the depths of the soul. The Holy Spirit is in full agreement. It is the ultimate source of truth, the only reliable map to eternal life through faith in the person of Jesus Christ.

It is the law, the testimony, the precepts, the commandments, the holy fear, and the judgments of the Lord.
In the face of a world filled with uncertainty and deception, the Word of God stands as a beacon of hope and truth. None of it is fake news.

The Bible is the ultimate authority, the final arbiter of right and wrong. It is the key to unlocking the mysteries (that are not hidden as if God wants them far away from you).. of life and the path to eternal salvation.
We've all sinned and fallen short -- we all need Jesus more than we know.
True repentance is a starting spot to address. Then saving faith -- trust in Christ.
As we meditate on the Word of God day and night (man, is there any other time to do that? Nope, but..), we find ourselves transformed, renewed, and equipped to face the challenges of life. We are warned of dangers, we are guided on the right path with the right light from the Lord, and we are filled with His joy. We are empowered and equipped by the Holy Spirit to evaluate.. to discern truth from error, to live a life of real righteousness (not selfrighteousness), and to find peace in the midst of life's storms. In God's will -- in Christ. His Word is His will for you.
Let us today therefore fully embrace the Word of God with open hearts and minds. Let us meditate on it day and night, allowing God's Word to shape our thoughts, our attitudes, our words.. conversations, and all our actions. For in the Word of God, we find not only the truth but also the life and the way. Come to Jesus as you are willing for Him to save and change you. He can help any of us!

"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6 nkjv
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not [a]comprehend it." John 1:1-10 nkjv
"Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. I have sworn and confirmed That I will keep Your righteous judgments." Psalm 119:105-106 nkjv
Verses 7-9 of this Psalm 19 remind me of Miss Maud Frazier Jackson's poem titled:
What if I say
"'The Bible is God's Holy Word,
Complete, inspired, without a flaw'
But let its pages stay
Unread from day to day,
And fail to learn therefrom God's law;
What if I go not there to seek
The truth of which I glibly speak,
For guidance on this earthly way,
Does it matter what I say?
What if I say
That Jesus Christ is Lord divine;
Yet fellow-pilgrims can behold
Naught of the Master's love in me,
No grace of kindly sympathy?
If I am of the Shepherd's fold,
Then shall I know the Shepherd's voice
And gladly make his way my choice.
We are saved by faith, yet faith is one
With life, like daylight and the sun.
Unless they flower in our deeds,
Dead, empty husks are all the creeds.
To call Christ, Lord, but strive not to obey,
Belies the homage that with words I pay.
